This accessibility statement applies to the Lauda Repository of the University of Lapland. This statement was written on 1 September 2020. Its English translation was published on 13 November 2020. The statement was last updated on 28 May 2025.
Lauda is the institutional repository of the University of Lapland. Lauda includes books, articles and theses created at the University of Lapland. Lauda also contains some scientific periodicals published in the Barents region.
The accessibility of the publications stored in the repository is the responsibility of the University of Lapland. The University has also conducted the accessibility assessment.
The National Library of Finland is responsible for the accessibility of the user interface. The accessibility of the user interface has been evaluated by the National Library of Finland.
The repository also contains content that is not within the scope of the applicable legislation.
This website is compliant with critical accessibility requirements. The website is not yet fully compliant with all the requirements.
The deficiencies are grouped according to whether they are related to the website publications or the user interface. The problems found were also grouped in accordance with the principles of accessibility and it is explained in their connection what success WCAG criterion is not met in this case. The shortcomings with the accessibility of files are specified below.
At the moment University of Lapland has no university-wide guidelines for publication accessibility. The accessibility of the publications may differ and files might have shortcomings.
Tables in the abstract pages are missing programmatic column headings and their reading order is incorrect.
The repository also contains material that can be interpreted as e-books. The amendment of the accessibility legislation on 28 June 2025 requires that information on the accessibility of e-books is available. Accessibility information has been added to the metadata of e-book material.
The following deficiencies have been found in assessing the accessibility of the User Interface:
Some of the images lack text alternatives. Some fields on the input form are missing labels (label elements). The input form is visible only to signed-in users.
